United Hospitality Management (UHM) has announced its entry into the Indian market through the acquisition of Rosastays, a boutique hospitality brand. The move marks a significant milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy, with India positioned as a key region for future growth.
UHM’s India operations will be led by Deepika Arora, following the acquisition, which brings 17 operational properties across Goa, Kasauli, Nainital, Pushkar, Shimla, and other key leisure destinations into its portfolio. The deal strengthens UHM’s owner network in India and expands its reach among experiential travellers. Select Rosastays assets will be rebranded under the UHM umbrella between Q4 2025 and Q1 2026.
The company enters India with a development pipeline of more than 700 keys, including projects in collaboration with IHG Hotels & Resorts under the Garner brand. The expansion underscores UHM’s long-term commitment to establishing an owner-focused, globally benchmarked hotel management platform in South Asia.
Klaus Assmann, COO, United Hospitality Management – Middle East, India & Southeast Asia, said, “India is among the world’s most dynamic hospitality markets. Our expansion here is a long-term investment in a region of immense potential. With Deepika’s leadership and our proven global framework, we’re set to create hospitality experiences that combine operational excellence with cultural authenticity, delivering true value for owners and investors.”
A hospitality leader with over two decades of experience across global hotel brands, Deepika Arora will drive UHM’s India strategy across brand development, operations and asset growth.
She said, “India is entering a transformative phase in travel and hospitality — one that values authenticity, design and differentiated guest experiences. UHM’s entry will bring global systems, a strong owner-centric philosophy and operational expertise that will accelerate growth for our partners. Our goal is to set new benchmarks across boutique, midscale and luxury hospitality — with India as a key driver of that growth.”
Rosastays also supports Dusit Hotels & Resorts in the Indian Subcontinent under Deepika’s leadership, where she has driven the brand’s strategic re-entry into India. Her appointment reflects UHM’s approach to combining local market insight with global expertise.
