Brussels Airlines Expands Summer 2025 Network with More Flights to Africa

Brussels Airlines is set to elevate its summer 2025 network by increasing flights to Banjul, The Gambia, starting in June 2025. This expansion forms part of a 10% capacity boost to sub-Saharan Africa, reinforcing the airline’s position as a vital link between Europe and the region.

With 56 weekly flights across Africa, the enhanced schedule includes daily services to Nairobi (Kenya) and Accra (Ghana), along with expanded routes to Dakar (Senegal) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast). The additional frequencies to Banjul aim to strengthen tourism and business connections, providing travelers with greater convenience and flexibility.

Brussels Airlines CEO Dorothea von Boxberg emphasized the importance of Kinshasa (DRC) as a flagship route, now upgraded to daily direct flights, showcasing the airline’s commitment to growth across the African continent.

Looking to the future, Brussels Airlines plans to expand its long-haul fleet to 13 aircraft by 2027, with upgrades to cabin interiors to ensure a premium travel experience for its passengers.
