Vaccination against Meningococcal Infection

Dear Travelers,

Starting in 2024, Saudi Arabia has introduced a mandatory requirement for all visitors – vaccination against meningococcal infection. This new regulation applies to all travelers, including those visiting for business, tourism, or pilgrimage.

Key Details:

  •  All travelers entering Saudi Arabia must provide a certificate of meningitis vaccination.
  •  The vaccine must be administered at least 10 days before travel and no more than 3 years prior to entry.
  •  The requirement applies to travelers from all countries, including transit passengers.

How to Get Vaccinated:

  •  The vaccine is available at licensed medical centers.
  •  After vaccination, you will receive an international certificate, which must be presented upon arrival.

This regulation aims to ensure the safety of both travelers and residents, especially during large gatherings such as Hajj.

We strongly recommend that all travelers planning to visit Saudi Arabia arrange their vaccination in advance to avoid any issues at the border.
