Le Méridien Amritsar has announced the appointment of Prateek Wadhwa as its new Director of Sales & Marketing
With over 17 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Prateek brings extensive knowledge, strategic insight, and strong commercial expertise to the role.
Prateek has built a distinguished career across leading international hotel brands, with significant experience within the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, having held sales leadership roles at Fairfield by Marriott Jodhpur, Courtyard by Marriott Agra, and now Le Méridien Amritsar. His journey within Marriott Bonvoy reflects a strong understanding of brand-led growth, revenue optimisation, and multi-market sales strategies.
Beyond Marriott Bonvoy, his professional background includes stints with Hyatt Hotels, Taj Hotels (IHCL), and The Lalit Hotels. He has also worked with organizations such as the Asian Development Bank and Chime Tours (Eastbound Group), giving him exposure to diverse business environments and strengthening his grasp of industry operations, stakeholder engagement, and commercial challenges.
Commenting on the appointment, Anukam Tiwary, General Manager, Le Méridien Amritsar, said, “We are delighted to welcome Prateek Wadhwa to Le Méridien Amritsar. In his new role, Prateek will focus on leading the sales and marketing team to new heights. He will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening key corporate and MICE partnerships, expanding market presence, and achieving the hotel’s overall commercial objectives.
Outside his professional life, Prateek is an avid car enthusiast and holds a Masters in Management from IIM Lucknow.
