COWDRAY HOUSE ANNOUNCES THE OPENING OF ITS NEW SPA

Opening its doors in November 2026, Cowdray House, Cowdray Estate’s historic 22-bedroom country house, is set to unveil a new, beautifully-appointed luxury spa, available exclusively for guests of the House. 

Thoughtfully integrated with the Grade II listed house and expanding upon its existing indoor swimming pool, the expansive new 420sqm spa features a gym complete with Technogym equipment and weight training area, treatment rooms, yoga and Pilates studio, sauna, steam room, outdoor hydrotherapy pool, and ice bath, as well as contemporary indoor and outdoor relaxation areas.

Offering a comprehensive wellbeing experience in one of England’s most picturesque rural settings, guests will also have access to a bespoke wellness programme, including personal training, guided outdoor running, yoga & Pilates sessions, forest bathing, massage therapies, and facial treatments, all of which can be tailored to individual preferences and requirements.

Further enhancing its wellness offering, Cowdray House welcomes Wildsmith as its official spa and wellness partner. Renowned for its high-performance plant-based formulations that unite cutting-edge scientific innovation with the restorative power of botanicals, the renowned British luxury skincare brand has curated a bespoke menu of treatments and immersive rituals for Cowdray House guests, inspired by nature, botanical science, and holistic wellbeing.

The Wildsmith at Cowdray House treatment menu will include a Rebalancing Massage, Recovery Massage, Radical Botany Facial, and a Ceramide Skin Repair Facial. A new wellbeing ritual has been created exclusively for Cowdray House guests – the Cowdray Wildsmith Sauna Therapy.

Contrasting with the historic character and grandeur of Cowdray House’s interiors, the new spa has been conceived as a modern sanctuary. This juxtaposition of heritage and contemporary design gives the wellness offering a distinct identity of its own, complementing the House’s historic elegance while providing guests with state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to restoration, movement and relaxation.
An understated, natural palette of warm stone, pale oak and muted tones evokes a sense of calm throughout the space, while vaulted ceilings and expansive windows allow natural light to spill into the fitness studio. Extending beyond the interiors, outdoor relaxation spaces provide a seamless connection to nature, with guests able to move between treatment rooms, wellness facilities and tranquil terraces designed for rest, reflection and socialising.
