Ananta Hotels & Resorts has announced the launch of Ananta Express, Katra, scheduled to open in March 2026. The property is located opposite Katra Railway Station and near the Searli Helipad, providing access for travellers visiting the Vaishno Devi shrine.
The hotel will have 45 rooms comprising 42 executive rooms and 3 suites. Facilities will include a restaurant, boardroom, gymnasium, and parking. The property will offer pure-vegetarian dining. The hotel will be operated under a management contract, which the company said aligns with its asset-light expansion approach.
“With Ananta Express, Katra, we are deepening our commitment to hospitality that aligns with India’s spiritual fabric,” said Rupam Das, Chief Operating Officer, Ananta Hotels & Resorts (Ananta Global). “We see a renewed energy in pilgrimage-led travel and this hotel has been designed to serve that purpose with thoughtful simplicity, efficient comfort and the dependable warmth Ananta is known for.”
Ananta Hotels & Resorts said it is exploring key pilgrimage circuits across India, while expanding into Somnath, the Statue of Unity region and Surat, as it targets growth in religious and regional travel markets. The group added that its focus remains on creating stays that balance functionality and faith through locally rooted design, mindful cuisine and warm hospitality.
