A distinguished professional with over two decades of rich and diverse experience, Akhil Kumar brings with him an exceptional legacy of leadership, guest-centric innovation, and operational mastery. Having spent close to 20 years with IHCL – Taj Hotels, one of India’s most respected hospitality groups, Akhil has been instrumental in shaping guest experiences and operational efficiencies across a spectrum of luxury and upscale properties.
Akhil commenced his illustrious journey in the realm of Food & Beverage, where his hands-on experience laid a strong foundation in service precision, quality standards, and team collaboration. His ascent through the ranks has been marked by a series of impactful leadership roles where he championed performance excellence, revenue growth, and service transformation. Notably, in his most recent role as F&B Manager at Taj Surajkund Resort & Spa, Delhi NCR, he oversaw the culinary and service operations of one of the region’s most acclaimed five-star deluxe properties, earning accolades for his strategic foresight and guest engagement.
An alumnus of the College of Hospitality & Tourism and the American Hotel & Lodging Association, Akhil also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Jamia Millia Islamia University. His academic grounding, coupled with an innate passion for hospitality, has equipped him to lead with integrity, vision, and purpose. His commitment to sustainability, emphasis on culture-building, and intuitive understanding of evolving guest expectations have consistently set benchmarks in every assignment he has undertaken.
In his new role, Akhil Kumar will lead the hotel’s strategic operations, focusing on elevating service excellence, enhancing the guest journey, and strengthening community engagement. His mandate will also include reinforcing The Golkonda Hotel’s positioning as a premium urban retreat and a hospitality destination of choice in the city of pearls.
