Vietnam’s Only Ferragosto Returns with a Celebration of Italian Culture, Gastronomy and Art
La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton invites guests to experience the essence of summer on the Amalfi Coast at Ferragosto – the vibrant Italian festival that brings the timeless pleasures of fine food, social cheer and local charm to the pure shores of Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s “Pearl Island.” This is the only resort in Vietnam to host this annual fiesta, and funds generated by the event will be donated to local schools, providing scholarships to talented students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Ferragosto has ancient roots; in Roman times, the “Festivals of Emperor Augustus” were created to celebrate the end of the summer harvest. More than 2,000 years later, this is traditionally the time when Italians escape the heat of the city and enjoy a weekend of fun and freedom on the coast. On 15th August 2026, La Festa Phu Quoc will set the stage for Asia’s most exciting and authentic Ferragosto.
“As Vietnam’s leading Italian-inspired lifestyle resort, La Festa Phu Quoc is committed to bringing the spirit of ‘La Dolce Vita’ to guests from around the world. So, we are delighted to unveil our activities for Ferragosto 2026, as Sunset Town prepares to transform into haven of festive energy. With uplifting entertainment – from fun runs to pool parties, cultural workshops and culinary experiences that bring people together – this is an unmissable occasion for couples, friends and families alike,” says Justin Kim, General Manager, La Festa Phu Quoc, Curio Collection by Hilton.
At Ferragosto 2026, guests can look forward to a full day of festivities from 9am to 7.30pm, culminating with a spectacular firework display. So, don’t miss this immersive day of cultural, culinary and lifestyle activities:
Ferragosto will unfold with a series of creative cultural experiences that showcase Vietnamese crafts and Italian heritage in dynamic, interactive ways. The Local Arts & Crafts Fair will feature hands-on workshops in partnership with local vendors, including DIY charm making, swimwear decorating, pottery, and seashell art activities. Chocolate making and kombucha brewing workshops will help guests to create their own delicious treats, and of course, visitors can purchase handmade souvenirs to take home – either as personal keepsakes or gifts for loved ones. The fair will run throughout Ferragosto on 15th August, from 9am until 4pm.
Entertainment: A Day of Excitement for Runners and Revellers
As the day heats up, Ferragosto will help all guests to stay refreshed with a series of uplifting and revitalising activities. The Summer Water Run invites all ages to lace up their running shoes and head out on a coastal course, past many of Sunset Town’s most iconic seafront attractions, armed with water balloons and super-soakers to cool down in the summer sun. Revellers can then gather at La Festa Phu Quoc’s outdoor pool for a vibrant Pool Party, including foam sprayers, upbeat tunes and refreshing drinks.
Gastronomy: A Grand Feast for the Senses
Gastronomy is an integral part of Italian culture, and La Festa Phu Quoc will bring the taste of the Mediterranean to Vietnam this August. At the heart of the fiesta is the Pranzo di Ferragosto (“The Grand Lunch”) – a social, multi-course feast that stretches throughout the afternoon until sunset. At La Festa Phu Quoc, this is brought to life with a spectacular Seafood Buffet that showcases the freshest “frutti di mare” in a spectacular setting.
Ferragosto also presents a first opportunity for many visitors to experience La Festa Phu Quoc’s newest dining and social venues, revealed earlier this year as part of the resort’s new wing. Seta is a contemporary Cantonese restaurant which showcases the island’s finest dim sum, freshest seafood and barbecued meats, while Finca is an elegant Mediterranean villa and modern Spanish bistro. Francesca is a sun-soaked rooftop bar where mezze, charcuterie and seafood platters are perfect for sharing, and Luna Folk evokes the laid-back vibe of an American-Italian speakeasy and jazz bar. Guests can now embark on culinary journeys at a total of eight restaurants and bars at La Festa Phu Quoc.
Then, as the sun sets over the sea and Kiss Bridge, and fireworks illuminate the night sky, all guests can reflect on a truly uplifting day. Only 250 Ferragosto tickets are available, so don’t miss out!
