Ukraine relaunches e-visa for South Africans
Ukraine relaunched its e-visa programme on February 19, allowing foreigners from 45 countries, including South Africa, to apply for visas online.
An announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on its website stated that e-visas can be obtained for tourism, private, business, educational, cultural, scientific, journalism, sports, and medical purposes as a single- or double-entry visa.
To obtain an e-visa, applications must be submitted no earlier than three months and no later than one business day for urgent applications, or three business days for regular applications.
A single-entry e-visa costs $20 (R370) and a double-entry $30 (R555). The fee is doubled for urgent applications.
South Africa, Mauritius and Seychelles are the three African nations eligible to apply for the e-visa.
Ukraine suspended its e-visa programme in 2022 due to the conflict with Russia.
