Jumeirah Carlton Tower Takes to the Skies with a Celestial Celebration
Jumeirah Carlton Tower Takes to the Skies with a Celestial Celebration
Jumeirah Carlton Tower invites guests to experience Chelsea in Bloom through a celestial lens this May, unveiling a thoughtfully curated programme of experiences inspired by this year’s theme, Out of This World. From an immersive floral installation and stargazing stays to cosmic cocktails and family-friendly discovery trails, the Knightsbridge hotel transforms into a destination of wonder, rooted in exploration and influences of Arabian hospitality.
At the heart of the celebration is The Astrolabe, a striking floral installation adorning the hotel’s façade from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 May. Created by Chelsea in Bloom gold medallist, PAUL THOMAS, the display draws inspiration from travellers guided by the night sky. A visual narrative of stars, desert landscapes, and discovery unfolds, with intricate references to the astrolabe – an ancient Arabic navigational instrument – woven throughout and a reflection of Jumeirah’s heritage – welcoming travellers, offering a majlis of connection, and guiding journeys both near and far.
Extending this sense of exploration, the hotel introduces the exclusive Astrolabe Discovery Stay. Available across a limited selection of rooms and suites, the experience places a monocular on private balconies, inviting guests to rediscover London’s skyline by day and observe the night sky after dusk. A bespoke cocktail collection featuring a six-drink menu is curated with its own narrative and character, and a Laurent-Perrier Champagne pop-up outside of the hotel, offers a refined vantage point from which to take in the installation.
Guests seeking a more restorative experience can retreat to Talise where the Jagaraga Ritual – featuring fluid, orbit-inspired movements and rooted in Indonesian traditions – eases tension, enhances flexibility, and restores a lasting sense of balance and calm. The treatment blends a therapeutic massage with celestial sound healing, working to align body and mind through chakra-focused frequencies.
Families are equally invited into the narrative with the Astral & Floral Scavenger Hunt, designed to engage younger guests through discovery and play. Inspired by The Astrolabe, the experience connects themes of stars, nature, and navigation in an interactive journey across the hotel. Those who complete the trail will be entered into a prize draw to win an astrology-themed family guide, encouraging further discovery across London, including visits to the Royal Observatory Greenwich and the Peter Harrison Planetarium.
Rediscover the art of travel through a new perspective with a celebration that brings the cosmos closer to earth. For more information and bookings, please visit: Astrolabe Discovery Stay | Jumeirah Carlton Tower | Jumeirah
