Airbnb is pleased to share the latest recipients of Airbnb Community Fund grants, which include more than 160 organizations making a difference in 30+ countries across six continents.

Launched in 2020, the Airbnb Community Fund is a $100 million initiative to directly support local communities and the people who live there. Each year, Airbnb donates to organizations that are supporting and strengthening communities around the world, including donations made in partnership with local hosts in many of these communities.

Each year, we’re proud to partner with hosts to identify important issues and many of the non-profit organizations to receive donations.Airbnb hosts are deeply connected to their communities and by involving them in this process, we aim for the Fund to drive meaningful local impact. As in previous years, hosts helped direct a majority of the donations.

Airbnb Community Fund recipients

This year’s Community Fund grants were directed to organizations focused on three issue areas identified by the Airbnb Host Advisory Board as important to the global host community: economic empowerment, environmental sustainability, and ending abuse and exploitation.

The following national and regional organizations are among those receiving donations.

Organizations receiving donations in the Asia-Pacific region include:

• Community Chest in Korea to promote global citizenship by empowering young Koreans to volunteer abroad and make a direct impact;
• Flourish Australia to enhance its Women and Children’s Program, providing assistance to mothers facing homelessness.
• RCF in Japan to support the recovery and preservation of cultural traditions in the Noto Peninsula, a region impacted by earthquakes early last year.

Across Europe and the UK, organizations receiving grants include:

• The Fondation du Patrimoine in France to support the preservation of endangered historical homes and buildings while creating economic opportunities for local communities in the French countryside.
• Safe Ireland to support their work to assist survivors of domestic, sex, gender and sexuality-based violence.
• Women’s Aid to support their work to end domestic abuse against women and children in the UK.

Grants directed to organizations across Africa include:

• Afrilabs to support over 500 innovation hubs and thousands of entrepreneurs across more than 50 African countries.
• Digify Africa in South Africa to enhance their mission to to bridge the digital divide among Africa’s youth and equip them with digital skills to improve their livelihoods.
• Global Give Back Circle to support economic empowerment and skills development for more than 300 young women in Kenya.

In Latin America, organizations receiving grants include:

• Consejo Coordinador de Mujeres Empresarias in Mexico to enable training for the professionalization and formalization of women entrepreneurs in Jalisco in order to foster female leadership and promote sustainable economic development.
• Fundación Renacer in Colombia to support the organization’s work combatting human trafficking and exploitation.
• Instituto Alok in Brazil to contribute to the reforestation of an area equivalent to 200 soccer fields in Pará and the restoration of 70,000 square meters in Acre.

Grants directed to organizations across the United States and Canada include:

Members of local Host Clubs, which are led by volunteer hosts, nominated local, community-based non-profit organizations making a difference in their communities. Members of 85 Host Clubs – nearly double from last year – representing more than 30 countries selected organizations to receive grants, including Save Jeju Sea in South Korea; La Grande Casa in Italy; Yachana Foundation in Ecuador; and Paso del Norte Center of Hope in Texas.

This year’s Airbnb Community Fund grants were distributed from July 2024 through early 2025. Airbnb works with grantmaking partners to support due diligence and facilitate payment to many nonprofit grantees.
