Dominican Republic Launches Dedicated Luxury Training to Support Agents’ Knowledge of Beaches
The Dominican Republic’s tourist board is launching a dedicated series of luxury-market webinars for UK travel agents. The webinars featuring the leading premium market stakeholders are designed to deepen agent knowledge of the country’s new and expanding luxury hotel portfolio and give them the tools to sell confidently to the affluent customer.
Dedicated Luxury Webinars for Agents With the first training session taking place on the 15th September at 2pm, the ‘Dominican Republic Luxury Webinar’ will bring together some of the destinations leading high-end resorts to present directly to UK travel agents, offering first-hand insight into their properties and the relaxed, beachfront experience they can offer discerning clients.
Confirmed to present include: W Punta Cana Adult All-Inclusive – the world’s first all-inclusive property from the W Hotels brand, offering a lifestyle-led approach to luxury centred on design, wellness and immersive relaxation. The property will also be offering the chance for a participating agent to win a voucher for a three-night complimentary stay. Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana – the newest and largest addition to the Palace Resorts portfolio, opened in 2026 with 2,171 rooms, the majority with direct ocean views, alongside the O Spa, a Greg Norman-designed golf course and a private beach.
Zemi Miches All-Inclusive Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton – a five-star beachfront retreat overlooking Playa Esmeralda in the emerging barefoot luxury destination of Miches, offering wellness experiences and immersive gastronomy across 500 rooms, suites and beachfront bungalows. “We want to give agents and advisors the tools and confidence to sell to the affluent market,” said Sabrina Cambiaso, UK & Ireland Director for the Dominican Republic. “As beach escapes and relaxation continue to be the driving force behind bookings to the Dominican Republic, this webinar is a chance for agents to hear directly from some of our finest luxury properties and better match their clients to the right beachfront retreat.”
A New Era of Luxury, Beachfront Escapes The Dominican Republic is entering a new era of luxury travel, with a wave of world-class hotel openings elevating the country into one of the Caribbean’s most sophisticated destinations for relaxation. The St. Regis Cap Cana Resort, which opened in May 2025, set a new benchmark for the market, featuring 200 guestrooms and suites, private residences and direct access to pristine Caribbean beaches. It has since been joined by a wave of openings across Punta Cana and Cap Cana with the Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and its sister property Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa, and the world’s first all-inclusive W Hotel, W Punta Cana Adult All-Inclusive all launching last year. In Miches, at the northeastern tip of the country, low-level, responsible development is seeing the area transform into the new must-visit destination of the Dominican Republic with the Zemi
Miches All-Inclusive Resort also opening in 2025. Alongside these new launches world-renowned flagship brands Banyan Tree and Rosewood are set to debut in 2027 and 2029 respectively, with Singapore’s Banyan Group bringing two new Cap Cana properties, Angsana Cap Cana and Cassia Punta Cana, and Rosewood Punta Cana introducing the country’s first collection of overwater villas.
