Professional big-wave surfer Nic von Rupp has partnered with LUEX Travel to launch ON! Days, a new alert-based experience that gives surfers and ocean enthusiasts access to Nazaré during its most promising big-wave windows. Rather than booking fixed travel dates, participants register for a swell alert and are invited when the forecast lines up.

The experience goes far beyond simply watching massive waves from the lighthouse. Guests head out onto the ocean by jet ski to experience Nazaré‘s raw power from the water, getting as close to the waves and the elements as safely possible in a way that only professional big-wave surfers normally do. They also spend personal time with Nic throughout the experience, sharing meals and conversations while gaining behind-the-scenes insight into how he and his team prepare for these rare swells, from forecasting and safety operations to the local knowledge and split-second decision making that takes place when Nazaré comes to life.
