Auberge Safari expands its portfolio with the grand opening of Mwiba Plains

Auberge Safari is entering the second half of 2026 with a series of exciting developments — from a compelling new guest offer to expanded airport privileges and the upcoming debut of a newly refurbished property.

1. New offer: The Sky’s Yours
Auberge Safari has launched The Sky’s Yours, a new promotion offering complimentary helicopter excursions to guests booking qualifying stays across the portfolio.
Guests booking four consecutive nights at any Chem Chem property, Mwiba Lodge, or Mwiba Plains enjoy a complimentary 30-minute helicopter excursion. Bookings of seven or more nights — including a stay at an Auberge Safari Serengeti camp and a minimum two-night stay at a Chem Chem or Mwiba property — include a complimentary 60-minute helicopter excursion, complete with a scenic picnic.
HOW: The offer applies to new qualifying bookings made between August 1, 2026 and December 31, 2027.

2. Nyasi: full refurbishment
Nyasi, Auberge Safari’s vintage-inspired camp in the Lamai Wedge of the northern Serengeti, has undergone an extensive refurbishment. New additions include a gym tent and spa tent, with tents now positioned on elevated wooden decks.

3. Mwiba Plains: opening, 15 December 2026
Mwiba Plains opens on 15 December 2026 — Songa South has been reborn as a permanent tented camp within the exclusive-use Greater Mwiba Protected Wildlife Area. Where Songa South moved
with the migration, Mwiba Plains is built around a single, defining event: the Great Migration’s calving season, which runs from mid-January through March.
Guests have exclusive access to a private guide and vehicle throughout, without the visitor volumes that descend on the wider ecosystem during calving season.

4. Ponya longevity mocktails: new at Chem Chem properties
A new range of Ponya longevity mocktails is now available at Chem Chem Lodge, Little Chem Chem, and Forest Chem Chem. Formulated to replenish and revitalize with electrolytes, the mocktails extend Chem Chem’s Ponya wellness philosophy — rooted in the Swahili word for “to heal” — into the drinks offering alongside the existing menu of organically sourced, restorative food and drink.

5. Elevated airport experiences in partnership with Miracle Air
In partnership with Miracle Air, Auberge Safari guests now have access to dedicated lounges at Arusha Airport (ARK) and Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). The lounges bring the Auberge Safari standard of attentiveness to the point of arrival and departure, ensuring the journey begins and ends in keeping with the experience that awaits in the field.
A Collection in Motion
Together, these developments reflect Auberge Safari’s continued investment in experience-led
luxury travel. Trade partners and guests are encouraged to reach out to their Auberge Safari
contact to learn more about The Sky’s Yours offer and how these updates might enhance
upcoming itineraries.
