visit.brussels is a Brussels-Capital Region public interest organization (Organisme d’Intérêt Public – O.I.P.) which employs 180 people. visit.brussels is the tourism and culture communication agency of the Brussels-Capital Region for the inhabitants, the Belgian and the foreign visitors. Its objective is to promote and reinforce the image of Brussels as the capital of 500 million Europeans. This year, visit.brussels highlights the opening of a few interesting venues in the city.

While the few years have been obviously difficult for the whole sector of events, 2022 welcomes the opening of some new interesting venues in Brussels. One of these new venues is the Belgian Beer Palace which is expected to have its grand opening in 2023. The Belgian Beer Palace has a rooftop, a large main room and of course, a museum about Belgium’s speciality. In Kanal Center Pompidou, people are busy renovating for the big opening in 2024.

In the EU district, Stam Europe opened its doors for smaller meetings with connections to the European institutions. Closed business club Cercle de Lorraine was spectacularly renovated into the social club The Merode, which can be rented by its members for exclusive events.

Silversquare, which provides coworking spaces as well as meeting rooms designed by a different artist for each of their six locations, will soon open their seventh location in Brussels’ North district.

Probably the biggest news for Brussels’ MICE sector in 2022 is the opening of Cardo Brussels Hotel, Autograph Collection in Rogier with no less than 530 rooms, 13 meeting rooms, a rooftop bar, a Spanish food court, and a Japanese restaurant on the 30th floor.

The Hoxton will open their first hotel close to the Botanique in between Brussels’ North district and the city center. It will boast a rooftop terrace, 198 rooms, and co-working spaces.

For visit.brussels, it’s good to see that Brussels’ North district is evolving and becoming more and more of a draw for international visitors!
