With over 16 years of distinguished experience in the hospitality industry, Vasant’s career is a testament to leadership built from the ground up. An alumnus of the Institute of Hotel Management, Pusa, New Delhi, he began his journey with the Taj Group as a Hotel Management Trainee and has since steadily progressed through key leadership roles across some of the country’s most iconic hotels.

A hotelier who has evolved through hands-on operational roles, his professional story is one of depth, discipline, and direction marked by strategic clarity and an instinctive ability to nurture high-performing teams. His career includes impactful tenures as Director of Rooms at JW Marriott Aerocity, New Delhi and the Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. Prior to his current appointment, Vasant served as Hotel Manager at The Westin Gurgaon, New Delhi, where his tenure was distinguished by strengthening operational excellence, elevating guest experience benchmarks, fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration, nurturing strong leadership pipelines, and further enhancing the hotel’s reputation for refined hospitality and experiential dining.

In his new role as General Manager of The Westin Sohna Resort & Spa, Vasant Ravindran will shape the resort’s strategic and operational direction, further refining its essence as an elevated, wellness-inspired destination. His leadership philosophy is rooted in precision, consistency, and building cultures of excellence that translate into truly elevated hospitality.
