A visionary in operational excellence, Upender is a dynamic hotelier with an astute sense of business acumen. Backed by experience of over 15 years, he holds expertise in strategic leadership with a commitment to elevated luxury hospitality experience.
Recognized for his specialised approach in driving revenue growth, optimizing guest experiences and launching high performing teams, Upender Singh Tomar began his career in 2006 as a WelcomLegionnaire. He is an alumnus of the prestigious ITC Hospitality Management Institute, formerly known as Welcomgroup Management Institute. Having been part of LEAD Programme from IIM Ahmedabad, Upender possess a deep understanding of commercial strategy and revenue management.
Over the years, Upender has held key leadership roles across several iconic ITC Hotels, including ITC Sonar (Kolkata), ITC Grand Chola (Chennai), ITC Maratha (Mumbai), ITC Gardenia (Bengaluru) and ITC Kakatiya (Hyderabad) among others. In his experience, across these properties, he has demonstrated an impactful approach to achieve service excellence, foster high-performing teams, and drive guest experience with precision.
