Nearly nine million passengers from international airports were received by Spain just for the month of August. This statistics represents 87% of those who arrived in the same month of 2019, according to data published yesterday by Turespaña from Aena records.
Per Reyes Maroto, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, that these data are very positive because they confirm the intense recovery of the tourism sector that is resisting well the uncertainty generated by the war and inflation. She added that their forecasts for the autumn are good, although within the prudence that is necessary to have in such complex times.
August indeed saw an increase in passengers departing from all major countries, according to news from Schenghen Visa. Tourists from countries like the UK, Germany, Italy, and France contribute the most to the fast recovery of Spain’s tourism industry.
