In an attempt to revive the country’s tourism industry, South Africa is now removing its final COVID-19 restrictions, as announced by Tourism Minister Lindiwe Sisulu.
To visit South Africa, there are no longer testing requirements whether the travelers are vaccinated or unvaccinated. Face masks are not required anymore indoors or in public settings. Social gatherings have no limits.
According to Minister Sisulu, the lifting of restrictions will go a long way in boosting the tourism sector’s growth as travelers will be able to participate in more activities, including attending big events and gatherings that not only contribute to the country’s appeal but also to the economy.
