Oman Air Marks 30 Years of Mumbai-Muscat Route
Oman Air has completed 30 years of flight operations between Mumbai-Muscat Route, marking a key milestone in the airline’s connection with India.
Mumbai was the second Indian city in the airline’s international route expansion, following Thiruvananthapuram in 1993. The carrier now operates 12 flights weekly on the Muscat–Mumbai route.
Over the past three decades, Oman Air has steadily increased its presence across India. As of now, it operates 168 weekly flights between Muscat and 10 Indian cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Calicut, and Goa.
Sunil V.A., Regional Vice President for the Indian Subcontinent at Oman Air, noted the occasion as a significant moment in fostering bilateral ties and enhancing connectivity. He described the anniversary as a testament to long-standing relations between Oman and India.
The milestone comes shortly after Oman Air’s recent induction into the oneworld airline alliance, expanding its international reach.
