New hotels open in Helsinki

Helsinki region has been increasing its hotel capacity and there are numerous new hotels which were opened during the year 2022.

Finnish Hotel chain Primehotels has contributed more than 400 new hotel rooms during the year 2022. Hotel AX in Jätkäsaari district was opened in May. Hotel AX is a unique art hotel created in collaboration with the some of the most well-known artists in Finland. It has 173 rooms, art gallery bar & restaurant. Hotel AX is something different for sure, as it is the Nordic region´s first art hotel. Hotel AX is more than just a hotel, it is an art experience itself. Just after Hotel AX opened its doors, Hotel Mestari was also opened in downtown Helsinki. This rough lifestyle hotel enchants its guests with redbrick walls, dark and very atmospheric interiors. Hotel Mestari has 237 rooms and great event facilities offering excellent settings for all types of meetings and occasions.

Modern Scandic Helsinki Hub opened its doors in September 2022. in a impressive 1920´s printing house right in the Helsinki city centre. Stylish and modern rooms with a loft-style ensure a memorable stay. Scandic Helsinki Hub offers extraordinary conference and event facilities with its multiple creative spaces.

For 2023 there is already something new coming up as Primehotels will open Hotel Grand Hansa – luxury hotel which will join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, as the first Hyatt branded hotel in Finland. Hotel Grand Hansa will be opened right in the city center, combining two of the city’s most architectural landmarks; The New Student House and Kaleva House, previously known as Hotel Seurahuone. This luxury hotel will have 224 rooms, significant restaurant offerings, as well as a great meeting and conference facilities. Hotel Grand Hansa will be an excellent choice for business as well as leisure travelers.
