A former British trading post, Singapore has come a long way since Raffles first stepped onshore in 1819. Skyscrapers and out-of-this world architecture pepper the famous Marina Bay skyline. Theme parks and beaches located on the island of Sentosa for the adrenaline seekers. Luxury retail and world-class international cuisines on Singapore’s most famous shopping belt. Ethnic districts showcase the multi-cultural heritage of Singapore, while the country’s colonial and wartime past can be found preserved in monuments around the city. Avid nature lovers are not forgotten – from Nature Reserves to beautiful landscaped gardens at the UNESCO-designated Botanic Gardens. Small, but packing a punch, Singapore has a multitude of offerings for every event.
Boasting world class facilities and infrastructure – including 6 convention and exhibition centres and an eclectic mix of event venues, Singapore has the capacity to host both large and small events. Venues are also easily accessible via public transport.
Feng Shui elements can be found in the design and placements of many iconic sights in Singapore. From the ArtScience Museum to Marina Bay Sands and even the placement of the iconic Merlion at the Singapore River! The Singapore Flyer was also not spared - when it opened in 2008, the Singapore Flyer rotated in a counter-clockwise direction as viewed from the Marina Centre, but later that year was reversed on the advice of Feng Shui masters.
