Italy travels are back on track

Italy has consistently been among the top European destinations for summer bookings since international travel returned in the spring according to industry experts. Travel demand to the country soared to levels not observed since the start of the pandemic.

According to Melinda Fortunato, the owner of Best Travel in Fairfax, Va, that summer 2022 bookings for Italy have been extremely in demand with approximately 75% of their bookings since April being for Italy.

With international arrivals from Canada, Australia, England and Spain returning to 2019 levels, Italy’s tourism numbers are on track to recover this year, as per Confcommercio, an Italian organization that represents tourism businesses. In addition, it’s Americans who the organization says are the number one market driving Italy’s tourism recovery.
