With over 19 years of extensive experience in the field of Information Technology across multiple renowned hospitality brands, Backiaraj has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical expertise, leadership, and commitment to innovation.
Since joining Hyatt Regency Chennai in October 2022, Backiaraj has played an instrumental role in ensuring seamless IT operations, enhancing infrastructure reliability, and implementing cutting-edge systems that support both guest and back-end operations. His proficiency spans across software and hardware implementation, system administration, LAN/WAN maintenance, and advanced server management—including Windows Server environments from 2003 to 2019.
Backiaraj’s career path is marked by notable tenures at Feathers – A Radha Hotel, Intercontinental Chennai, Ramada Egmore, and Le Royal Meridien, where he held pivotal roles in pre-opening IT teams and system management. His certifications—including Microsoft System Administrator and multiple CMS Computer Institute credentials—underscore his commitment to staying ahead of industry standards.
Beyond systems and networks, he is also known for integrating hospitality technologies such as Micros POS, Opera PMS, VingCard Access Systems, AVAYA IP telephony, and CCTV infrastructure, making him an invaluable asset in the realm of hotel technology management.
