Founded in 2005, Random International is an art group based in London and Berlin. Their work, which includes sculpture, performance and large-scale architectural installation, explores the human condition in an increasingly mechanised world through emotional yet physically intense experiences. This site-specific installation uses 2,500 litres of self-cleaning recycled water, which is controlled through a system of networked 3D tracking cameras.

Enjoy learning about the history of the region, art, culture, sciences, and Islamic discoveries at the Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilisation where 5000 artefacts from different parts of the Islamic world are displayed.

The Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization is located at the historical heart of the city on the Majarrah Waterfront, right on the shore of the Sharjah Creek. It was opened in 2008 in the building of the former Souq al-Majarrah which has been transformed into a state-of-the art museum. The didactic presentation of the exhibits as well as the intructive models and wall charts provide a deeper understanding of the cultural and scientific achievements of the Islamic civilization in its historical and religious context.
